Welcome to our June newsletter which we are dedicating to thanking our volunteers and ambassadors, without whom Pecan could not reach so many people in the community.

Pecan is proud to be a living wage employer. It is no secret that London is one of the most expensive cities in the UK when it comes to both property and living expenses. According to the Living Wage website there are nearly 9,000 employers in the UK that pay their employees living wage. That sounds like a lot but it is still not enough. At Pecan we believe that everyone is entitled to living wage.

In the past 4 months, we have been focusing our efforts on the COVID19 response and service delivery. We will now be resuming our regular monthly newsletters and communications.

Southwark Foodbank featured in BBC's Universal Credit: Inside the Welfare State this month. We held our first Foodbank Friday of the year at London Bridge Station on Friday the 31st January and were pleasantly surprised
