WHO WE ARE

We are a Christian charity dedicated to bringing hope to individuals and the wider community.

We help people who face seemingly impossible barriers to find a way through, re-write their futures and flourish. We never stop believing that with the right support, people can unlock their true potential.

Every year, we stand alongside thousands of individuals facing challenges, whether through food insecurity, unemployment, or social isolation. However, at Pecan kindness is at the heart of everything we do. From our first interaction with a member to their end journey with us, we see the power of small acts of compassion shaping lives across Peckham and Southwark.

What we Do

Pecan is a community charity committed to uplifting our local community through Kindness, Belief and Hope. We do this through providing holistic support for the local community through our projects, addressing a range of needs across our community.

Pecan Summer 2025 Newsletter

Pecan has been at the heart of the community for over 36 years. Our of experience of bringing people together helps to fight poverty and builds hope. Right now, your generosity fuels vital projects like our: children’s summer food programmes, so that no child goes hungry, creative workshops and celebrations can that bring joy and connection, and essential wrap-around support is available, to helping people children and families overcome the barriers holding them back.

For the past two years, Pecan’s Employment Support Team has quietly transformed lives, one client at a time. From our base in Southeast London, we have welcomed parents, unpaid carers, and over-50s into a non-judgemental, supportive environment where everyone is treated with care, kindness, and the respect they deserve.
