Pecan Day highlights 2023
Pecan Day 2023
We are introducing Pecan Day
This is a fundraising day to support the people who access our services, many of whom are in a crisis situation. Individuals, communities, or organisations can host a fundraising event – from a coffee morning or a raffle, to gathering urgently required food for Southwark Foodbank. Pecan Day will fall on 5 December each year, which is also International Volunteering Day. So, we will be asking as many people as possible to join us to raise funds and help transform lives through kindness, belief, and hope on Pecan Day.
Support Us
Here’s what we are doing at Pecan …
Shahid, our Head of Food Services will complete a Pecan triathlon. He will swim 1 mile, and then cycle to Pecan (7 miles). At the end of the day he will run back home which is another 7 miles, so in total he will complete 15 miles. Support Shahid on Pecan Day
All services will join in a lunch hosted by our Food Services and SFAA. Staff will donate £1 to Pecan to take part in the quiz and £1 to sing a song. Support Food Services on Pecan Day
Central Team will be donating urgently required food for Southwark Foodbank. If you wish to donate food items, click on the link to see the items required and drop off at Pecan: Christmas Shopping List
