Together

Together provides a range of community, life skills and employability activities in a relaxed environment supporting people learn new skills, understand their rights, and make new social circles. Everyone’s welcome!

Activities include free café, cultural trips, creative writing classes, crafts and support to fill in online forms. We signpost onto other Pecan services and partner organisations to ensure all needs are met.

Café and Warm Space

Opening Times: Mondays and Thursday from 10am-3pm (closed on Bank Holidays)
Venue: Pecan, 121a Peckham High Street SE15 5SE

Together Café, 1-3pm Monday and Tuesdays: Enjoy warm soup and a bread roll, hot drinks, and snacks. Join in with arts and crafts, board games and group discussions and pick a book or magazine to read. 

We offer a range of activities, support, and advice: employment, life skills, hobbies, wellbeing, and community.

Pride Month Plus - Writing for Wellbeing

Pride Month Plus – Writing for Wellbeing | Wednesday 26 June, 10.30am-12pm 
Led by Jem Sugden, freelance editor and writer 

During Pride Month we are offering a FREE writing workshop online for gay men interested in using creative writing to think about their own story and experiences for fiction or memoir. Holistic Health Workshop

Enhancing Well-being through Gut Health, Nutrition, and Stress Management.

Creative Writing

FREE | Creative Writing for Wellbeing

FREE Writing course begins every Monday from 13 May – 24 June, 10.30am-12pm.

Facilitated by Wordsmiths – Creative Writing for Wellbeing in a relaxed environment which allows creativity to flourish.

Bread and Salt

A FREE drop-in starting on Fridays at Pecan Together Cafe 9.30am-12noon. Particularly welcoming asylum seekers from the Middle East and North Africa. Some members of the team speak Arabic and Kurmanji Kurdish. We emphasise friendship and a safe space to relax, with opportunities for English conversation, games and crafts. (This is not an advice session or a formal English class).
