Together

Together provides a range of community, life skills and employability activities in a relaxed environment supporting people learn new skills, understand their rights, and make new social circles. Everyone’s welcome!

Activities include free café, cultural trips, creative writing classes, crafts and support to fill in online forms. We signpost onto other Pecan services and partner organisations to ensure all needs are met.

Café and Warm Space

Opening Times: Mondays and Thursday from 10am-3pm (closed on Bank Holidays)
Venue: Pecan, 121a Peckham High Street SE15 5SE

Together Café, 1-3pm Monday and Tuesdays: Enjoy warm soup and a bread roll, hot drinks, and snacks. Join in with arts and crafts, board games and group discussions and pick a book or magazine to read. 

We offer a range of activities, support, and advice: employment, life skills, hobbies, wellbeing, and community. 

* We are an Inclusive venue and a Breastfeeding Friendly venue

Writing for Wellbeing #5
Mondays from 1 July – 19 August 2024* | 10.30am-12pm

Creative Writing with Wordsmiths

During this 6 week Writing for Wellbeing group facilitated by Naomi at Wordsmiths, you will be guided through structured writing activities and games to enable you to create and share a mixture of fictional and true stories based on your own experiences and ideas.

*Please note: Two weeks break 22 and 29 July 2024 – No session

 

Skyline Stories at Bold Tendencies with Pecan

Thursday 8 August, 11am – 12:30pm (Free) Venue: Bold Tendencies, Floor 7-10, Peckham Multi-Storey Car Park SE15 4ST

The Skyline creative workshop will focus on activities that encourage you to think beyond the horizon of the city and claim a sense of home in the bustling skyline. You will be encouraged to re-imagine the city through fun activities, to produce drawings and creative writing inspired by visions of what the city might look like in the decades to come.

Bold Tendencies Community Coffee Morning with PECAN

Bold Tendencies will be hosting Pecan at their August Coffee Morning session, where we will share about all our five services and ways you can get involved with our 35 year old charity based in Peckham. Bread and Salt

*Bread and Salt is on a summer break*

A FREE drop-in starting on Fridays at Pecan Together Cafe 9.30am-12noon. Particularly welcoming asylum seekers from the Middle East and North Africa. Some members of the team speak Arabic and Kurmanji Kurdish. We emphasise friendship and a safe space to relax, with opportunities for English conversation, games and crafts. (This is not an advice session or a formal English class).
