Paxton Pantry

‘It’s great that they have household essentials such as fabric softener
and disinfectant spray.’ – Tayo

On Tuesday 28th June, Paxton Pantry opened their doors to the public. It was wonderful to see the support of Southwark Council, as they were present when the doors opened at 12pm. Paxton Pantry is run by the Paxton Green Time Bank and is located at Unit 32, Seeley Drive, SE21 8QR. They are open every Tuesday from 12pm till 4pm and is for anyone living locally who is struggling to access affordable healthy food.

On the launch day it was great to see people having a look around and signing up to the Pantry! For just £4.50, you get to pick three heart and seven diamond items from a wide selection of items. Some of these items include: cereal, tinned good, milk, juices and more. Fresh fruits and vegetables were also available with selections such as: apples, aubergines, bananas, plantains, cabbages, peppers, fresh peas and more. They also had household essentials such as fabric softener and sanitary products. On top of their food and household items, they also have a quaint mini library with a selection of books at the entrance, opposite their seating area, where customers can take a book of their choosing.
