The Together Hub at Pecan is a community space open to everyone in Southwark and neighbouring boroughs. During the winter months, it transforms into a ‘warm space’ for those in need of relaxation and conversation.

Café and Warm Space
Together Cafe is part of Southwark’s Warm Space Network. Join us every Monday and Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm.
A welcoming, warm space where people can come to enjoy FREE refreshments, including hot beverages and snacks. We welcome new members who want to relax with a book or magazine or meet others engaging in discussions and joining our events and activities.

Wordsmiths: Creative Writing for Wellbeing
You are welcome anytime to join our creative writing workshops.
Every Monday 10.30 am to 12 pm. 6-week series from 12 January – 16 February and 23 February – 30 March.
Every session is unique, allowing you to join whenever you like.
Our creative writing workshop is an opportunity to participate in a shared creative experience and have some fun along the way. A nurturing and welcoming community of like-minded people. The workshop incorporates writing prompts aimed at igniting creativity, experimentation, and promoting exploration.
A basic understanding of English and writing skills is all that’s required.
Bread & Salt Community Café 10 am -12 pm each Friday, excluding half-term weeks and public holidays.
Bread and Salt is a drop-in community cafe for asylum-seekers and refugees, offering a space for community and activities in a relaxing environment. Facilitated by English, Arabic, and Kurdish speakers, welcoming people of all nationalities. The group provides guidance on additional support services available in Southwark. You are welcome to relax with friends, make new ones, and engage in English conversation, games, and craft activities. We offer hot drinks and light refreshments, including fruit and cake.
In various regions around the globe, the age-old custom of offering bread and salt to guests endures. This gesture symbolises the establishment of friendship and a deep connection between individuals, reflecting a warm hospitality that transcends time.

Midweek coffee mornings aimed at those aged 55 and over, offering light-touch holistic support for members, connecting them with our internal services and external partners.
Pecan is planning the return of our midweek coffee mornings, offering light-touch holistic support for members, connecting them with our internal services and external partners. This initiative will feature a variety of group wellbeing and community activities, life skills workshops, and opportunities to participate in focus groups aimed at co-designing the services we provide at Pecan.
At the Together Hub we celebrate the rich diversity of our community through activities such as Lunar New Year, Eid, Easter, Christmas, Volunteers Week, Wellbeing Week, Mental Health Awareness Week, and Black History Month.
