Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025
One week to double meals and double kindness
We are delighted to share that Pecan has been chosen for this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge.
With our match funders, The Childhood Trust, Jaguar Building Services and TMT Finance, for one extraordinary week (2-9 December 2025) every donation you make to Pecan will be doubled, helping us provide more good food and practical support to local families facing impossible choices.

Jamila’s Story
Last year, Jamila* came to our Peckham Pantry after her Universal Credit was delayed. She had £8 to feed herself and her two children for a week. At the Pantry, she filled her bag with fresh vegetables, pasta, milk and fruit, keeping her children fed with dignity while she got back on her feet. She’s one of thousands we supported through Southwark Foodbank and Peckham Pantry. Read more in our Impact Report

Between Tuesday 2-9 December, your £25 becomes £50. Your £60 becomes £120. Twice the meals, twice the kindness. Your donation will be doubled.

First achieved by our Moving On project in August 2015. The report states:
“Using a person-centred approach mentors were able to motivate mentees and to provide effective support with an impressive range of daily living issues… The Moving On mentors and management team are clearly very committed in their support of the mentees. Moreover, the project is well embedded in PECAN’s wider community services, such as the careers and employment support, the Foodbank and HOurBank that can also benefit the mentees.”
